I don't really see how you could prefer unmixed versions of a song, but I didn't let that distract me from seeing that this is quite a nice piece! Like you said, all the parts work together and it has a really nice vibe. I'm digging the melodies and the drum beats are very nice. Looking forward to whatever else you make!

Thanks for your reflective feedback! It helps to know a bit more on how others hear things. I've enjoyed your positivity in your music and think that's something we need more of these days! There's so much dark stuff out there but bright music? That's something interesting.

Fantastic! Amazing changes, and like RionHunter said, amazing fusion of two things I wouldn't expect. :)

Thank you! I'm looking to do another song in this style, perhaps with lighter tones? We'll see...

Cool sounds and a nice beat. Great layering and buildup. I'm curious, where'd you get the percussion samples?

Xsalvaz responds:

Thanks. I use Battery.

Very creative compositional work, it's inspiring. Transitions are done very well. It starts to sound sound kinda like James Bond or something at 1:36. :)
I really like this!

ArienV responds:

Thanks for the thoughtful reviews by the way.
Haha yeah I agree, sounds a bit bond-ish with the descending chords. The structure is a bit unusual with this but as usual I build each song differently, nice not having a formula and seeing how it grows

I really liked the change at around 1:20. Very calming chip tune melody. Awesome track! The chords are interesting and sound really good. I loved every second of this, thanks for sharing! :)

ArienV responds:

Thanks for responding. It's always interesting developing a track and not knowing how it'll turn out. All I knew is that I wanted it to be based on the chord progression of the sound the guns make. Which fascinated me! It's the only hint of music in the game and becomes more obvious the more powerful you become. Something very mysterious and intriguing about it. Fits the style perfectly. I'm glad you liked the chord progression. I laid out the chorus first then build it around that, tried not to over think it. I'm pretty pleased overall and glad you appreciate it :)

Cool song! I think I'd call it experimental. It has a lot of cool sounds and evolves well. You did a great job. I like your style of music and I think you are going to do well. :D

Voladous responds:

Thank you! This really means the world to me when someone gives good feedback on my music. You have made my day and I just want to say thanks for taking the time to review my music. :D

Cool sounds and great layering. However, it didn't feel like it evolved much until 1:21 -- It was a nice change. I enjoyed it but I think it could've been less repetitive. A few changes in percussion, added sound effects, or new melodies can help avoid repetition and keep the listener interested. :)

Voladous responds:

Good to know. I take any feedback on my songs to heart. If people say its bad then I try my best to improve upon it and if people say that it's good, then I continue to do what works for my music. Thank you for this review and letting me know what I have to work on. It means a lot to me. :)

Although I agree it does sound sort of messy, there's a good vibe to it and it seems to flow and harmonize well. It evolved well and I enjoyed listen to the changes in the song. It started to feel hopeful sometime in the middle and I felt a lot of different emotions to the end. Thanks for sharing this. :)

adieuwinter responds:

Thank you! I can't honestly say I knew which emotions I was attempting to evoke with this, so it's basically open to any interpretation. I'm glad you enjoyed :)

I think the intro was way too long. I was about to quit listening until the rest of the instruments started. Starting at 1:00, one of the instruments (it might be percussion or strings) was playing eight notes or something in the bass and it started to get quite unnerving, and I felt very relieved at 1:22. I think you may have side chained something too much, or you should get rid of whichever instrument is playing repetitively in the background. I hope you understand what I am trying to say, I think it would make the song a lot easier to listen to. You have great melodies and layering, but the percussion and bass is hogging too much attention.

plasmageddon responds:

Thanks for the review! I could always make the intro shorter and give more balance to it!

Beautiful voices. I really like the kind of vocalizations used in this song. All tracks blend together well to make a good sound. I wasn't expecting the change at 1:05 but I really liked it! However, I don't think it blended out well at 1:59. You could've used some type of strategy for transitions such as different percussion, a sound effect, or white-noise-rise.
I think you did a good job blending together classical voice with electronic instruments.
Was the lead voice a sample or did someone sing it? If it's a sample, please tell me how I can get it! :)

TrojanMan87 responds:

All this was sampled in music maker jam. I believe the vocals were from the movie music 4 pack. I'm still learning to blend and I agree that part could of been blended better.

I've been messing around with music on and off for a while. My main influences are video game music, rock, electronica, and german death metal. I'm no longer doing commissions, but if you'd like to use one of my songs for something, I'd be glad to talk!
